Content Repurposing Guide

One of my favourite things about podcasting is that you can get a whole bunch of content, in various forms, for various platforms, all from a single podcast episode.

This means that you focus on the preparation + recording of your episodes, and delegate the rest. Other bits of content pop up all over the place and you didn’t have to do anything else. Magic!

Repurposing content is a great way to increase your ROI from podcasting, as well as save time and money by streamlining your content creation process. At East Coast Studio, I do the podcast episodes, and from there we get reels for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X. We get content for a newsletter. We get SEO from our show notes. We can write blogs. LinkedIn posts. And the list goes on… Most importantly, I don’t make a single bit of extra effort once I’m done with the episode. The team handles everything else.

Now, you don’t have to be on every single platform or making all forms of content. But it’s good to know what you do want to be putting out there as content, and how podcasting can make it easier or supplement what you’re already doing.

So, here are some of the best ways you can repurpose your podcast episodes into other content:

  • Short video clips for social media (IG Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X. Most every platform is optimized for short form video. East Coast Studio will make these clips from your episodes, but if you’d like more or want to discuss further, please contact us)
  • Text social media posts (Not everything has to be video on social media. Text and graphic formats also work!)
  • Blog Posts (Helpful for SEO and for people who prefer written content)
  • Books, E-books or guides (Yes from a full-fledged book based off your archive of podcast episodes, or something shorter, your podcast is a historical documentation of vast amounts of knowledge. You have these episodes at your fingertips.)
  • Infographics
  • Email newsletters, sales emails
  • Polls
  • Q&A Sessions
  • Live Streams (IG Live, YouTube, etc)
  • Webinars or courses

Identify the types of content that work with your marketing strategy, and then determine how to best delegate so you can create an unstoppable content-generation machine that runs automatically!
